Great Start to Our Wheelchair Tennis & Squash Pilot

21st April 2026

National news

Squash Wales, in partnership with Tennis Wales, is delighted to report a fantastic start to our 6-week Wheelchair Tennis & Squash pilot programme at Rhiwbina Squash & Tennis Club.

The opening session saw a great group of participants take to the courts, trying both squash and tennis in a friendly, inclusive and supportive environment. It was brilliant to see players of different backgrounds and experience levels getting involved, supporting each other, and enjoying the opportunity to try something new.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, as well as to our coaches and volunteers who helped make the first session such a success.

Get Involved

The programme continues this Saturday:

The great thing about this pilot is that participants can join at any stage, so if you weren’t able to attend the first session, we’d love to see you this weekend.

Open to All

The sessions are free to attend, open to all wheelchair users and disabled participants, and no prior experience is needed.

Whether you’re completely new to sport or looking to try something different, this is a great opportunity to get involved in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
