CORONA OUTBREAK INFORMATION

10th March 2020

National news

Squash Wales recognises the concerns of all regarding the worldwide impact of the COVID-19 virus.

We continue to follow advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health Wales advice as well as that of the UK Government following the outbreak of COVID-19. Additionally, Squash Wales is receiving advice from the Welsh Sport Association and their colleagues at the Sport and Recreation Alliance.

Squash Wales will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and will issue information updates as required, via the Squash Wales website.

In line with current advice (9th March 2020) it remains business as usual for Squash Wales at present and as it stands all scheduled matches, squads and events will go ahead as planned.

Squash Wales will fully support anyone who does not wish to travel to or participate in an event due to COVID-19 concerns.

Staff, players, parents, family members and guests are encouraged to maintain good hand, respiratory and personal hygiene.

Tournament and Events hosts are reminded to ensure suitable handwashing facilities are readily available to participants and spectators
