GREG TIPPINGS TO MOVE ON FROM SQUASH WALES

23rd August 2021

National news

Hi everyone,

Today we bring the news that Greg Tippings, National Junior Coach is departing Squash Wales, effective 16 th September 2021. Greg has decided to further his career outside of the direct squash environment and has accepted a General Managers role with a Cardiff based sports complex. As of 16 th September 2021, please direct all Junior squash related questions to David Evans – [email protected]

Squash Wales are very appreciative for all the hard work that Greg has done for us over the past two years, and he will certainly be missed. He has played an integral role in the development of our Junior Player Pathway, and he will be difficult to replace. We wish him the best of success in his exciting new role.

Greg has passed on a statement of his own to share with you all:

“Due to a change in my circumstances, I have had to make the extremely difficult decision to resign from my post as Junior National Coach. Firstly, may I take this opportunity to thank all the players, parents and staff at Squash Wales. I feel very grateful and proud to have had the opportunity to work with all the players. The progress made is evidence of the huge amount of hard work put in by all. The support I have received has been second to none and I cannot thank everyone involved enough. I firmly believe the foundations have been laid for continued success and the next Joel Makin, Tesni Evans, Peter Creed and Emily Whitlock are currently involved in our Junior Pathway. I will be watching with a keen eye as the next generation of players progress onto the World Stage. My involvement with Squash and Squash Wales will continue and I look forward to helping the sport we all love to progress. I will see you all soon at the next squad, tournament or league match as the Squash World re-emerges from these unprecedented times!”
