Lead GB Squash to LA 2028

GB Squash is seeking an exceptional coach and leader to become our first GB Head Coach for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. This is a unique opportunity to help shape Great Britain’s first Olympic squash campaign and contribute to the preparation and delivery of athletes competing at LA 2028.

The inclusion of squash in LA 2028 presents a unique opportunity for Great Britain. With world-class athletes, experienced coaches and genuine medal potential, we are seeking a coach who can help unite and support athletes, personal coaches and Home Nation programmes on the road to the 2027 European Games and the LA 2028 Olympic Games.

The GB Head Coach will provide coaching leadership and performance support across the Olympic programme, building trusted relationships with athletes and their personal coaches whilst supporting qualification, preparation and Games-time delivery.

Operating within a professional player-led sport, the role will focus on collaboration, influence and performance integration rather than day-to-day ownership of athlete training programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support identified athletes throughout the Olympic qualification cycle.
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with athletes’ personal coaches, ensuring GB support complements existing performance environments
  • Lead coaching preparation and delivery for the 2027 European Games, using the event as a critical rehearsal opportunity for LA 2028.
  • Support preparation for the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
  • Establish clear Games-time on court coaching principles and ways of working.
  • Work collaboratively with Home Nations and Team GB partners.
  • Contribute to qualification planning, athlete reviews and Games readiness activities.
  • Help create a high-trust, athlete-centred performance environment.
