Squash Wales juniors have started 2022 with a bang! There’s been strong representation from Wales competing in the British Junior Closed and Inter-County finals on the coinciding weekend.
Over 20 players represented Wales in the British Junior Closed and it was heartening to see players competing from all the regions across Wales, indicating a strong future for Squash Wales moving forward.
We’re over the moon to report the British Junior Closed was Squash Wales most successful event to date. The highlight of the event was Archie Turnbull, Cardiff Squash Club winning the boys Under 15 event and claiming the British Champion title!

Squash Wales had a record 9 teams reach the finals of the British Junior Inter-County Finals. The energy was electric thanks to an excellent turnout of players, coaches and parents who all thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. Attitude, togetherness, and team spirit were exemplary.

It’s been a fantastic start to the new year for Squash Wales and more importantly, it was a pleasure to see the players competing and enjoying their sport in such prestigious events, long may it continue.
