The Senior European Team Championships were held in Eindhoven in April 2022 after a 2-year break due to the Covid pandemic. It was fantastic to have the opportunity to compete for Wales again at this prestigious event.
Both the Men’s and Ladies team did extremely well at the event. The Men’s team spearheaded by World Number 7 Joel Makin finished in 5th position only losing to the Winners England and the Runners Up France.
The Ladies recorded Wales best finish at this Event coming 2nd and winning the Silver Medal, only narrowly losing to England 2-1 in the Final. Emily Whitlock gained her first Welsh cap at this event so a huge congratulations to her.
