A fantastic team and a fantastic result to come runner up in the over 45’s Home Internationals! Every player contributed to this success and gave everything on court – what more can a captain ask for?
Highlights include:
- Erica gaining her first master’s cap and 2 brilliant wins against Scotland and Ireland.
- Rhian’s athletic court coverage challenging her opponents.
- Sally’s superb racket skills catching out her English opponent many times.
- Jill’s ability to take the pace off the ball with her volley drops and drop shots.
- Clare’s grit and determination in a 5 setter (so close!) followed by a clinical 3-0 win against Ireland.
It was a great weekend of squash, full of fun, laughter and companionship.
