Karakal Welsh Masters Closed 2026 – Tournament Report

26th January 2026

Masters

The Karakal Welsh Masters Closed 2026 proved to be another outstanding celebration of Masters squash in Wales, welcoming over 120 entries across the weekend at Rhiwbina Squash and Racketball Club.

Held from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th January, the event showcased the depth, competitiveness and camaraderie that defines the Welsh Masters squash community. With players competing across multiple age categories, the standard of squash on display was exceptional throughout the weekend, with many closely fought matches and fantastic performances across all draws.

Rhiwbina Squash and Racketball Club once again proved to be an excellent host venue, providing superb courts, a welcoming atmosphere, and a strong volunteer team who ensured the tournament ran smoothly from start to finish. The club was buzzing all weekend, with players, supporters and officials creating a brilliant tournament atmosphere.

Squash Wales would like to extend a sincere thank you to all players who took part, Claire of Cariad Catering, the referees and volunteers who supported the event, and everyone who helped make the 2026 Championships such a success.

We are also extremely grateful to our event partners and sponsors whose continued support helps make events like this possible:

  • Karakal
  • Dynamik Sports Flooring
  • Dunlop
  • Padelspeed
  • Sport Wales
  • The National Lottery

Congratulations to all category winners and finalists and thank you once again to everyone involved in delivering another memorable edition of the Karakal Welsh Masters Closed. We look forward to welcoming players back in 2027.
