The U13 Team had a fantastic trip and managed to come 4th which is one better than last year. All the indications are that this team has a real medal opportunity next season when the event takes place on home soil. Real progress has been made with this team, Madalena Sidoli won 3 out 4 games beating the French, Scottish and Irish number 1’s. Leon Lauder at 11 years of age beat the Irish number in the decider for Wales to win. The coaches are really proud of this team, showing commitment, heart, passion and team spirit in abundance.

The U15 Team had a tough weekend and narrowly losing two matches 2-3 against Scotland & Ireland. Stand out performances from Nia Seran Thomas beating the Irish and Scottish number 1’s. Special mention for Megan Beynon winning her first 5 Nations match against Scotland. Big opportunity for the U15 team in the upcoming U15 & U17 European Championships.

Special mention to the coaches Sally Davis & Richard Wright who assisted me on the trip. We are very lucky to have such dedicated coaches. Many thanks to the players & parents for helping us compete at the 5 Nations.

Greg Tippings Junior National Coach.
