A few words about Cardigan Squash Club
The first two courts were built in 1979 within the grounds of Cardigan Golf Club.  The club enjoyed many years of success with a healthy membership.  The demand was such that a few years later a third court was added and another changed to a glass back.  This made the club unique in West Wales having these facilities.  Over the years the club competed successfully in the Pembrokeshire League, winning the league on more than one occasion.  Welsh international honours were earned by Angharad Llewelyn, Gemma Davies and mother and daughter, Annette and Nia Davies.

Recently membership has declined and the building deteriorated.  The club was faced with closure.  A new committee has now been formed with the aim of rejuvenating the club and promoting squash and racketball within the community. Plans are underway to introduce a Junior Section and provide coaching for developing players.  Currently Cardigan has one team competing in the Pembrokeshire Squash League and club nights are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings where a friendly welcome awaits.
