A strong Welsh contingent of 26 junior players headed north to Sheffield for the 2025 British Junior Squash Championships, showcasing fantastic performances, team spirit, and camaraderie throughout the event.
The highlight of the weekend came from Heidi Hales, who reached her first British Championship final in the Girls U13 event — an outstanding achievement that included a memorable semi-final victory over the number 2 seed.
There were also several other impressive performances across the age groups, with Eliza Hales finishing 4th in the Girls U15, Mashour Mohammed Gadallah securing 4th in the Boys U13, and Millie Breach achieving a strong 4th place finish in the Girls U19.
It was fantastic to see such a large and competitive group of Welsh players testing themselves against the very best in Britain. The performances and attitude of all players were a credit to themselves and to Welsh Squash.
A promising weekend for the future of Welsh Squash — well done to all players and coaches involved!
