Tom Rosser

I started playing squash at the age of 10 at Swansea Tennis and Squash Club. As a junior I was involved in the county and National squads and continued to play at Loughborough University where I studied Sport with Chemistry. Outside squash I am a member of the Welsh Men’s Lacrosse Team training for the 2023 Worlds Championships in San Diego and the British Lacrosse Squad working towards the 2028 Olympics in LA.

Alongside playing sport I have always endeavoured to give back through coaching. Having recently returned to South Wales I was initially involved in the Schools Squash Outreach project as a coach and now, as the School and Education Community Officer for Squash Wales, I am enthused to develop the grass roots section of squash to enable the performance sections to thrive. Alongside my role with Squash Wales, I coach at both Swansea Tennis and Squash Club and at David Lloyd Swansea.

My ambition is to convert our already successful squash in schools’ initiative into outstanding numbers of juniors on court throughout Wales. My understanding of the physical, psychological and social benefits of sport is comprehensive and I plan to utilise this knowledge to provide a foundation in which Squash can grow and fulfil its potential in Wales.
