Max is a qualified commercial Barrister with over 20 years’ experience spanning legal practice, corporate governance and deal execution across Financial Services, Sports and Corporate Finance.
Called to the Bar in 2002 and a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, he brings direct regulatory experience across the Bar Standards Board, Solicitors Regulation Authority, Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulation Authority and The Football Association.
Max has held senior executive and board-level roles across a range of organisations, including as Interim CEO of a multi-family office managing $2.1bn in AUM, Director of Sports Finance at FCA-regulated Shawbrook Bank – where he structured and scaled a new Sports Finance lending division with zero defaults – and Partner & Head of Sports Law at McFaddens LLP, a City of London firm of solicitors.
He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of McFaddens & Co Group Ltd alongside his role at Squash Wales.
